Christmas greetings!!

Merry Christmas everyone! We hope you have a wonderful time!
Our lives are now a flurry of decorating, shopping, baking, gift making, wrapping and all things associated with the holidays! Unfortunately for Elizabeth, snow flurries don't seem to be in the forecast and she is signed up for downhill ski lessons!
She recently finished doing Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" with the Rochester Children's Theater. She and Rebekah will be starting rehearsals for "Oliver!" soon and then Elizabeth will be helping with costumes for "Treasure Island". She has also been asked to audition for the part of Briar Rose in "Sleeping Beauty". Just in case she's not busy enough there is also: A Tale of Two Cities study (including making an 18th C gown!), Sea Scouts, Girl Scouts, voice, drama, skiing, art class and her job as a library page!! Wow, I'm tired just typing all that.
Rachel is busy too, just not as much as E. She will be doing Sea Scouts, Girl Scouts, dance, volleyball and possibly helping with E's drama class (painting and designing set-she really enjoys it). She auditioned for "Oliver!" also and got in, but decided not to do the show.
Steven, Rebekah, Mike and I will be returning to our regular school work after the holidays and also doing a study of ancient Japan (Steven's request) and the science of snowflakes ( we will have fake ones, if not real ones!)
Helen likes to inform us that she is the bus (boss) when things don't go her way! She loves to sing and be a princess. Theresa loves music, her bunny toy and trying to take a few steps.
Have a Blessed Christmas everyone!
Mimi and family
Theresa

oct. 27

We had a busy day again. Rachel and I went shopping for her birthday party stuff. She and Elizabeth had art class. While they were at it, the other kids and I went to Nazareth College to purchase tickets for our homeschooling group to an upcoming performance. (I'm in charge of the group ticket purchasing this year). We then went to wait for the girls to finish class. We read and cleaned out the van. Elizabeth and I went to the costume story quickly so she could buy wings for her costume. She needed them tonight because she has a costume party where she takes swing dance lessons. She is a fairy. Rachel had piano today. she went to her friend megan's house. steven, rebekah and mike put on skits and played with legos. we read more books tonight.

finally posting again

Wow!! It's been a long time since my last post. We've been keeping busy.
John, Elizabeth and Rachel have been enjoying bike rides along the canal whenever possible. Both girls are busy with their homeschool activity group. They just finished a canoeing course and are in volleyball, running, biology lab (Elizabeth) and scrapbooking (Rachel). Both are in Scouts (Girl and Sea) and are both continuing music lessons(Elizabeth-voice, Rachel-piano) , swing dance and art. Elizabeth is still working as a page and studying for the PSAT. Last week, we met a lady who works as a costume designer for the Rochester Opera Company and she is going to help with an internship. It's perfect as Elizabeth loves to design elaborate dresses (she is starting to work on an 18th C dress) and sing-just not opera!!
Not much new on anybody else. Rebekah is now a Junior in Scouts. Mike has mixed feelings about Cub Scouts (he wanted to join Brownies last year!). Steven has no interest in it and would rather play with friends he knows. We all enjoy our weekly library visits and visits with friends.
In school, Elizabeth and Rachel work on high school level subjects. Steven, Rebekah and Mike are learning about Colonial America along with math, reading, etc. We're planning to start biographies of famousw people next week. Our visit to the George Eastman House was the influence for this.
Helen is 3 and loads of fun! She loves to play and is just a typical 3 year old!!
Theresa is now 11 months old. She has 6 teeth, loves patty-cake and peek-a -boo. She now says mama and abef (Elizabeth).

Update on the Krzyzanowski's

Sorry it's been so long since my last update. We've been busy around here lately. We're getting ready for our new schoolyear to start in September. Elizabeth has already started a weekly biology lab, to be followed by many other programs. She is now working as a page at the library (she shelves the returned books). She enjoys knowing where the books that look interesting can be found. She had a memorable trip on the Lotus to Alexandria Bay. They had engine trouble and the boat may still be in Oswego.
Rachel has begun a scrapbooking class and will also be taking more programs. I am looking into archery classes for her, she has enjoyed doing it in the past and recently purchased her own archery equipment.
Steven, Rebekah, Mike and Helen enjoy playing outside now that the weather is sunny and not unbearably hot!
Theresa now has 3 teeth, knows her name, waves hi, says mama and dada, likes to trail along the couch and sit on the saucer part of stander.
I would send photos but I'm still trying to figure out how to do it with our new camera.

Rebekah's show

Rebekah had her show last night. The show was "Into the Woods, Jr." (a shortened version of the show). She played a peasant girl in the chorus.
She had a wonderful time and plans to join summer drama for many years to come.

Theresa and the grass

Alrighty now, here's a picture!! At long last. Theresa is not fond of the tickly grass!!!

very early morning

Miss Theresa woke me up at 5:45 this morning! Now she's nursed back to sleep justc as the others are waking up and looking for breakfast. Thank heavens for coffee! I hope to get a nap in sometim today, even if it's short. Mondays are busy- library, shopping, drama, playground, Sea Scouts.
Elizabeth and Rachel just finished swing dance lessons. Today, I'm taking them, some friends and the rest of the family to buy material to make skirts for a swing dance party.
Yesterday, I took Elizabeth out to Sodus Point to work on the boat. Theresa and I went to the cottage. Since we had to dash out after Mass, everybody else stayed home. We thought the workparty would be cancelled since we had rainy skies here, but SP was sunny. Next week, we'll take everybody with us.
Theresa is now crawling and sometimes pulling herself up on furniture.
I'm trying to send a recent photo of Theresa. Hope it works.
